Gulf County Florida is a great destination for outdoor fun in the Panhandle of Northwest Florida. Great locations like the William J. Rish Recreational Park, the Dead Lakes, and the St. Joseph Bay Golf Club all provide unique recreational opportunities for all comers.
William J. Rish Recreational Park
This gorgeous seaside park is 100 acres and located on Cape San Blas. Two miles of boardwalks are featured here that connect to cottages and other facilities to be rented. The beach is handicap accessible, inviting all to enjoy. Check out the Olympic sized swimming pool, which is accompanied by a multi-purpose event hall with cooking facility. Dead Lakes
Don’t let the name fool you, the lakes and waterways here are alive with sea life. Serene, natural Florida is enjoyed with the company of eagles, ospreys, boars, alligators, and anything else that might stop by. St. Joseph Bay Golf Club
Between Port St. Joe and Cape San Blas lies 18 holes of year round golf enjoyment. The course is par 72, but also features wide fairways to favor casual golfers as well. 14 out of 18 of the holes have water hazards to provide an aquatic challenge for all comers, while the lush greenery surrounding the course gives a welcome and relaxing counterpoint to the added difficulty.
