Other contests will be hosted, including ones for pumpkin pie, fruit pie, pound cake, and a pumpkin carving contest. For children, a greased pig chase will be held, along with hay rides.
Heritage Roads
The natural beauty of the old south is glimpsed through the hanging mosses which hang above passerby who walk the heritage roads of Jefferson County. The paved Miccosukee-Magnolia Trail, Plantation Trail, Spanish Trace Trail, and Flatwoods-Wilderness Trail form the heritage roads themselves. Walking or riding along these trails bring visitors back to the rustic history of Florida, when timber, ranching, and agriculture were king. Step on these roads and step back in time to a slower and enriching time for North Florida.
