Baseball and Softball in Baker
Baseball and Softball are celebrated here in Baker County. The Knabb Complex has a number of fields and even facilities for volleyball as well. The Minger Complex is smaller but has its own set of fields for Baseball and Softball too. Little league is also big, with plenty of games to be played by the little slugger in your life.
John M. Bethea State Forest
This 37,736 acre forest is located along the Florida/Georga border. Come camp here year round by permit. Enjoy the black water river in your canoe or take your boat out on the ramp fixed here.
Ocean Pond Campground
Try this uncommon site, where visitors can camp right in front of their anchored boat. Wake up for a lakeside swim at this beautiful piece of natural Florida. Nineteen campsites here have paves spurs with electrical and water hookups, and all sites have access to restrooms, drinking water, playgrounds, and picnic areas. A half sized basketball court, credit card operated washing machines and dryers, great cell phone reception, and opportunities for bird watching are also present.
Olustee Beach
Come enjoy the sandy beaches and grill out in a pavilion on this portion of Ocean Pond. Bathrooms and drinking water are also featured amenities at this great getaway.
The Landing
This swimming area is designed for larger groups to enjoy. Situated on the North Shore of Ocean Pond, many similar amenities to other destinations on the lake are also present here. Picnic areas, restrooms, and boat ramps make this section of the lake a laid back and comfortable spot to lay out on.
St Mary’s Shoals Park
This enormous track of land is 2,568 acres of wild, authentic Florida. It is an exceptionally bio-diverse recreational area. Experience the black water swamps, forested woods, floodplain, and the two miles of tea-stained riverfront which also boasts white sandy beaches. All forms of transportation are given equal access, including ATVs, horseback, hikers, campers, and even boaters. Come visit this gem for hiking and riding that sits right along the Florida-Georgia border.
