In Okaloosa County, activities like geocaching and youth sports are offered alongside locations like the Baker Recreation area to offer a huge number of possibilities for parks and recreation activities.

Geocaching is a great outdoor activity where participants use a GPS or GPS enabled device to locate containers called geocaches or caches. Those geocachers with the skill and determination to find the geocaches will find either a log book to record their success, and/or trinkets to trade at the next geocache they locate. Okaloosa County has been divided into four quadrants, with six geocaches in parks around each of the county’s quadrants.
Youth Sports in Fort Walton Beach

Baker Recreation Area
This diverse location can play host to a large number of activities with its 2 arenas and 196 stalls, concession stands, and 29 RV hookups. The Area has an archery range, walking path, playground equipment, picnic tables, and community center. Every Spring, the Baker Area rodeo and a slew of other events year round are hosted here as well. For more information on events, click here.
