Goethe Forest by Horseback
This 53,398-acre forest is a welcome place for any equestrian to visit. Both carts and riders are permitted to ride the trails and take some time in the forest. Here, red cockaded woodpeckers abound in the pine forests of Goethe they call home. Come have a horse riding adventure in the leaves of this pine landscape.
Williston Youth Athletic Association
The goal of this organization is to teach the fundamentals of sport while enforcing positive life skills and concepts. Kayak Eco Tours at Cedar Key
Visitors to Levy County are invited to participate in free Kayak eco tours around the Cedar Key archipelago. Bring your own kayak or rent one from the nearby marina. The tours are put together by the University of Florida’s Nature Coast Biological Station. Atsena Otie Key along with various islands and channels can all be accessed via your kayaks. So come enjoy the pristine Florida weather while enjoying the marine and bird species of the area on your tour.
Tour De Melon
This cycling event is open to both pro and amateur bicyclists. Come see a variety of routes around Levy County from your bicycle seat in distances ranging from 20 to 100 miles. Choose a route that is either a rails to trails or road surface as you make your way all around Levy. No need to rush, this is a ride, not a race, so bring your family on the trails. Rest/snack stops are posted on all the routes. Bring your helmet and work some energy off on this unique route.
