Crystal River Airport serves a wide range of general aviation needs. Business flights comprise about 30 percent of the overall operations. Flight training, domestic and foreign, is a significant component of this airport’s general aviation activity with benefits extending into the community through lodging, food and recreational activities. Roughly 40 percent of the airport’s annual operations are related to flight training. The airport also attracts a number of transient or visiting aircraft with approximately 25 percent of the airport’s business originating from transient users.
